Yesterday I delivered the 2008 State of the City address at the Freedom Tower in Downtown Miami - the speech is titled "Investing in Our Future" and it is really what government is about - we need to invest in the people, places, and things today that will give us a greater city tomorrow - we do it to stay competitive, and we do it for future generations, our children and grandchildren.
